Announcement--Please Read

As summer winds down and the back-to-school aisles fill up, we find ourselves in the midst of a season of change.

As our oldest daughter would be facing her third school in three years this coming fall, we have decided that I will return to teaching to regain the employee perk of selecting our children's schools. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to teach 7th grade math at our local junior high and keep Taylor in the same middle school she attended last year.

I am so fortunate to own and manage CMK alongside exceptional design team members, loyal customers, and a wonderful online community of members. However, I know it would be impossible to teach full-time and maintain the standards you and I both expect for CMK. After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to close CMK effective August 31, 2009.

Thank you for your support. We attribute our wildly successful venture with CMK to each of YOU!

We do hope you feel free to share your favorite places to shop, share, and create online as we hope each of YOU will be blessed to find a new online scrappy home that meets all of your needs.

In the reality of things, family always comes first Lisa. I know all of us should understand that. This decision could not have come easily.

With that being said, CMK was my first 'home' and opened so many doors for me. I have made many valuable friendships over the years as well.

I'm so happy for you & your family. I know you're making the right decision. That being said, I'm sooo sad. This was my first & favorite scrapbooking home. You've created such a warm, supportive place for all things scrappy. I'm going to need a 12 step program because I'm addicted to this place. lol

Lisa, you know you have my full support and prayers as you make this change in your life. I ditto Tina, family comes first, hands down. I respect that about you more than you know.

At the same time my heart hurts to say goodbye to a group of people and place that has been such a big part of my daily life. Thank goodness for blogs and emails and Facebook where we can stay connected.

how bittersweet! i wish you the best in your teaching venture. sad to see CMK close but i totally understand. i hope to run into each and every one of the great girls that i've came to know here (since the opening of this fabulous place).

I will add how much I support Lisa in her decision to do what's best for her and her family but I am deeply saddened that I won't get to come to this place daily. I have come to love it here tremendeously and hope to bump into many of you in other places.

While I can't cay I am shocked (things have been different here for months) I can say I am really sad! What a beautiful place this has been with beautiful people and beautiful inspiration!!! Good luck with your teaching job Lisa! I totally understand and respect your decision! And thanks for providing such an amazing place for us to come every day and be inspired! It's been fun! Oh my...I'm really truely holding back tears now. This place was my first forum 'HOME' and I will truely miss visiting it each day. As well, I will miss the people and of course the fabulous kits. I'm so saddened by this, but it is understandable how family comes first.

I'm so sad too.
I feel like this has truly been my scrappy home for around 2 years now and I'm going to miss it whole-heartedly and all of the friends I've made here so much. But we totally understand your decision, Lisa and wish you all the best! Family always come first. Big hugs, Lisa.
