Here we go girls!!! This month we are going to appetizers! Please sign up in this forum what appetizer you'd like to make a recipe card for. You will make 8 recipe cards that are 6 x 6 in size. You can use any embellishments you'd like, just as long as the recipe is printed/wrote out in full. Then, on the back of your card, please write your name and CMK screen name. Please have your cards made and mailed to me by October 21st.

Please include a return envelope with pre-paid postage. Once I receive everyone's card, I will divide them and then mail them back to each of you in your pre-paid envelopes. You will receive 8 recipe cards :)

I went through my recipes last night. I've narrowed it down, but still haven't completely decided yet. Actually trying to decide what I will make this weekend (having a party so it will be the perfect time to photograph it for the swap).

Tina, can you post your example? I have not done this before, but I am just guessing that I can make it like a scrapbook page, just with a recipe...right? oh, and 6x6.

Ack, I forgot to do this :o SORRY! That is exactly it though. For most of my recipe cards I would stick a simple embellishment, some ribbon, or brads on it. You don't need pics of the recipes either.

Ok, I made and photographed my recipe this weekend. Don't know what the name of it is though. I got the recipe from a gal in Bunco and didn't get the name. I'll have to make something up. But for now, put me down for "mexican dip"

Kelli-since some of the girls have their cards made and mailed, it would be too late to go for the month of October :(

Can you start up with us in November? We will be doing a different dish each month and would love to have you start up with us! Just let me know!!!

I sure hope there is enough postage.

The postmaster did it kind of odd. 1.11 To ship mine plus the additional envelope but only .63 to ship back without the envelope. Do you think that will be enough postage? :cool:

I'm thinking it won't be enough, lol, but we will see when I get to the post office. I was short the first time I mailed out my cards with the last group I was in, so I know it can happen! :)

I dropped mine in the mail today. I put $1.17 on both envelopes (3 stamps). Hopefully that is enough!

Oh....what a relief! I started to panic thinking that the cards were supposed to be mailed today instead of the 21st.

I'm not ready but plan to have them completed before the end of the week. I've made and photographed my recipe. I've purchased the paper. I just haven't done anything in the assembly process. They should go together quickly though.

I'm excited to get these back though!

I just finished mine up! They will go postal on Monday. Wow....can't believe I'm done a whole week before they have to be done. Must be because I'm not going to have time to work on them next week. :)

I went to the post office today to mail mine, forgot it was Monday. I was on my lunch hour and the line was huge. So I will be mailing them on Wednesday, tommorow I have to have my oil changed in my car during lunch.
