Something similar to photoshop

That's free?? I just want to be able to kinda do some digi stuff but don't want to buy photoshop right now...is there a free download somewhere that does something similar????

Well, it's not free, but I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro, and it is a MUCH cheaper alternative. It is SO easy to use as well. The down side is-you can't use brushes. Otherwise, it is pretty great software!

Will you have to upgrade any equipment any time soon ? I only aske becuase most scanners, printers and now the Bamboo Fun Tablet and Mouse come with some version of photoshop with it.

I know there are other programs that open and work with PSD files but I dont know which ones.

Hummmm would be cool to make a list of those that do.

pop the CD in and see what happens. Maybe you allready have a version of elements if you have recently puchased a printer or scanner.

If the equipment is all ready installed , when you than pop the cd in to the drive windows should open up the software and it would show you whats on the cd.

My sis didnt realize she had Elements 4.0 this way.

But now that Im thinking I have 4.0 I bought out right and than I got 5.0 with my tablet. You can have my 4.0 if you dont find any thing on your software. Just let me know and I'll get it out to you right away :D

GIMP is free and very similar to Photoshop and it will run on Windows...
