O.k. Many questions here...
What's the best way to submit a two page layout? Do you send it with 2 attachments, or do you do it in the same document?
And they want it small < 100K but when I do this, the page looks horrible, is there a way to do this, so that the picture still looks good?
How do you know if your page was received?
Is it o.k. to send the same page to multiple calls - and just saying yes to the first one that calls?
If your page is requested for publishing - are you supposed to remove it from all public galleries?
When taking a photo of a 12 x 12 page how do you crop it in the editing software to remove the extra from all sides without eliminating part of the page? Does this question make sense??
And finally, what else do I need to know, I'm just not sure if I'm submitting pages correctly.
I'm a mooch for information, sorry everyone!
Thanks for helping, I suppose we were all beginners at one point!
:D

I'm sure there are a few others who are more qualified than I to answer these but, I'll do my best................

I think it depends on who you submit thru... sending one good photo of the 2-pager is a good bet. They want to get an overall feel for the layout.
And they want it small < 100K but when I do this, the page looks horrible, is there a way to do this, so that the picture still looks good?
Depends on how you are saving it. I usually save mine as 500x500 pxl and it comes under 100k. Which program are you using to save the file?
How do you know if your page was received? Most of the time, you won't (bummer, I know.) There are some pubs that will send you an e-mail saying they have received your submission. Because they receive so many submissions a day, there is no way for them to reply to everyone.
Is it o.k. to send the same page to multiple calls - and just saying yes to the first one that calls? This is what I do!;) Although, when you submit to Scrapbook Aswers they ask that you submit pages that have only been submitted to them.
If your page is requested for publishing - are you supposed to remove it from all public galleries? Yes. Out of respect for the publication...they want to keep things fresh.
When taking a photo of a 12 x 12 page how do you crop it in the editing software to remove the extra from all sides without eliminating part of the page? Does this question make sense?? You just have to crop it as best you can. Even when I scan my layouts on my large format scanner, some of the edges get cut off. The trick I learned when taking photos of my layouts is to use double sided tape ont he back of my layouts (like Scotch) and stick it on a wall eye-level tot he camera. That way you are as straight on as possible making for the straightest shot of the layout...make sense?
And finally, what else do I need to know, I'm just not sure if I'm submitting pages correctly. Just keep asking questions and keep at it! Submit everything! Seriously, you never know what they are looking for.
I'm a mooch for information, sorry everyone! Don't apologize! Mooch away!

This was a HUGE help thanks so much!! I am using Camedia Master... this is the program that came with my camera. When I resize it, it just looks blotchy I'm not sure why? Anyway, thanks again for your help!
