I don’t know about you, but I need my girlie time!
It’s important for us girls to be able to connect, bond, and share.
At the end of July I went on a girlie trip.
I got to see two of my very dear friends Sarah and Melissa whom I haven’t
seen for 3 years.
We lived in England together and were very close.
After we left England and came back to the states I found myself
aching for that girlie time.
For those special moments, those long talks, and good cries.
Once we settled here in WA I began to make friends
slowly.
I realize as we age, that making friends is sometimes hard.
People are already established and have their friends
so often times they do not want to open up and invite you in.
This is especially true in the military world.
It’s a great world because you meet so many really neat people.
You connect with people you least thought you’d connect with
and you become family.
This was very true with these girls.
So one day we decided to plan a girlie trip.
We invited 5 of our closest friends from England to get together.
Three of us made it!
We found a common location, bought our tickets and were
on our way!
I was VERY excited to see them
both because not only had I not seem them but huge changes
had ocurred within the three years of not seeing them both.
The vacation was very dear to me.
It was hard to say goodbye and even harder to
come back to the reality of life.
Not that I do not enjoy my life, but being with them made
me ache for everything we had in England and more!
We had a blast!
We laughed until we cried.
Ate really great food and stuffed our faces.
Took a million photos.
Saw a play.
Went to a theme park.
Stayed up very late talking and laughing.
And cherished every bit of it together.
Whether you actually fly on a plane like myself to meet those
dear to your heart doesn’t really matter.
What does is that you connect!
We as women need that.
It fills our soul.
Makes us feel wonderful and is what
we need in our busy worlds!
So I hope that you are encouraged to hang with the girls and enjoy
yourselves together!
You’re never too busy to make the time..

My layout is of us going to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
We got dressed up
and went to see the show
and afterwards we went out to eat at
a really great Italian restaraunt.
It was so much fun sharing this with them!!
There isn’t anything special on this layout.
No new techniques.
No cool thing to oooh and aahh over.
It’s just us.
The 3 of us girls having the time of our lives.
August’s kit fit the bill for my girlie vacation and then some though!
I used the bright colors to go along with our faces and our happiness.
I made it a vacation layout by using the elements in the kit too.
So whether it’s a girlie vacation or even a family one, capture it with this kit!
But most of all, make sure you make the time for girls.
They will uplift you like no other!
